Jungle Wedding Adventure
The wedding weekend started with a rehearsal dinner at Acre Baja in San Jose del Cabo because the resort featured a naturally bohemian vibe the couple was attracted to. The venue offers lush natural areas and gardens, an organic farm, chic event spaces, and an award-winning bar and restaurant, setting the tone for the festivities.
Laurelle and Ryan knew they wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities. Fun, adventurous, and deeply connected, they envisioned a celebration that was anything but traditional. "Tropical, Bohemian Vibe – you can never have too many trees/plants and rugs!" was their mantra and, as their local Cabo San Lucas wedding planner, we embraced the challenge.
The Cape’s Upper Pool Terrace was the venue for the ceremony. Overlooking the water, the beauty of the Mexican landscape was woven into the decor, with lovely blooms enhancing the natural splendor and reflecting the vibrant spirit of the country.
But the celebration didn't stop there. Dinner was a seamless transition from the romantic ceremony to a vibrant fiesta. Laurelle and Ryan had a surprise up their sleeve. They wanted their reception to be an unforgettable adventure, a "jungle disco" as they called it.
An entire room in the resort’s The Ledge was transformed into a lush, neon-lit jungle paradise. Potted plants and palm trees adorned the walls, disco balls shimmered like fireflies, and a neon sign pulsated with energy. Drummers dressed in traditional attire called for an ancient atmosphere, while a DJ spun electronic beats that had everyone moving and grooving.
But amidst the music, laughter, and dancing, there were personal touches that made the celebration truly special. Handwritten notes to each guest, a matcha station featuring their favorite drink.
