For many couples, when you hear the words “destination wedding”, images of white sandy shores and palm trees may flash into mind, but tropical beaches aren’t everyone’s idea of an idyllic destination wedding. Channing and Matt were one such couple.

From the very first moment they set eyes on Flora Farms during an intimate dinner on their first trip to Cabo, they were enamored. Despite not even being engaged yet, the couple set their sights on getting married there someday.

Fast forward a few years, and that is exactly what Channing and Matt did! They tied the knot in a relaxed and casual wedding with a bohemian vibe at Flora Farms.

It’s easy to understand why Channing and Matt would want to tie the knot and celebrate their wedding at Flora Farms. The venue is a 25-acre working farm located in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains in Mexico. The farm has a field kitchen, tranquil spa, and abundance of activities.

Because the farm is a fully functional farm, not all parts of the venue are accessible to guests. However, the Field Kitchen, herb garden amphitheater, lakeside lawn, and enchanting potting shed are available for weddings and celebrations.

Flora Farms in Cabo San Lucas is the perfect venue to celebrate the start of a new life together. The venue has a calming and peaceful setting while the bountiful harvest of the farm will surely bless the couple’s future together.

A Romantic Bohemian Style Wedding

The couple decided right from the start that they wanted a relaxed wedding vibe. Flora Farms is the perfect venue because the space can be personalized to fit a couple’s preferred theme.

For their wedding, Flora Farms was transformed into a charming and rustic venue to fit the couple’s bohemian theme. The tables were decorated with pale colored blooms with rust colored flowers for contrast. To make the table look even more special, Channing selected a handful of her favorite poems and placed them on the table not only to share her passion for the art but also to honor their love story.

The table runners and place settings featured a simple design. Photography for the event was handled by My Swell Life by Daniela.

The bride wore a beautiful and clean-cut off shoulder wedding gown while the groom looked dapper in a tan colored suit.

Channing even made a selection of her favorite poems and placed them on the tables as a way to share her passion for poetry and romance with their guests while honoring their love story.

Smooth Sailing All The Way

Channing and Matt had a clear vision for their wedding: to create a fun celebration for all members of the family filled with good dancing and great drinks! They wanted the weekend to flow with ease so they could release their worries and enjoy the moment. And this is why they chose to partner with a seasoned Cabo wedding planner. From Day 1, they had access to our capable planning team at Vivid Occasions to assist them along the way and remove their stress.

Here is what the couple had good things to say about their wedding planning experience:

“From Day 1 of planning to the Day of wedding, Vivid Occasions turned our wedding inspirations into reality. They created an approachable/enjoyable schedule that allowed us to make thoughtful decisions month-to-month for each step of the process. This transformed our mood board, decor ideas, table settings, floral arrangements, music, apparel, setting, venue, food, and romantic vibes into real-life perfection. We got everything we wanted in our wedding, without doing any of the heavy lifting required from destination weddings. They have connections at any resort, venue, restaurant you could ever want and were excellent liaisons between our wedding guests and any vacation needs. Cristina and Gabby worked so hard for us; weekly, sometimes daily calls and emails, speedy responses to any questions, concerns, and had everything under control to the last detail.”
