The Cape Cabo San Lucas Destination Wedding for Brittney & Brent

After 10 years of dating, Brent proposing to Brittney in Italy in 2020, the couple chose a romantic seaside destination wedding to celebrate with their closest family and friends. As lifelong travelers, the couple wanted not only to explore the locale with their family and friends but also to relax and have fun during their weekend wedding festivities.

Beautiful Beach Beginnings

Brittney and Brent reside in Newport Beach, California, a coastal city in southern California that catered to their love of the beach and the ocean. Incorporating the open sea into their wedding was an effortless way to bring a taste of home into their destination wedding. This is why they chose an open-air venue overlooking the ocean, courtesy of The Cape in Cabo San Lucas.

The ceremony itself was held at the Upper Pool Terrace, chosen by the couple to highlight the views of the ocean and El Arco as a backdrop.

For the reception, the couple and their guests celebrated at the adjoining Glimpse Terrace where everybody enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere and good food.

Simple, Sophisticated Soiree

The couple chose a minimalistic but romantic theme that would highlight the natural scenery of Cabo, taking advantage of the gorgeous view to the Arch (Land's end) that you can appreciate from the Glimpse terrace. Their wedding was simple yet elegant, minimalist yet romantic.

What mattered most to Brittney & Brett wasn’t the decor or the formality, but rather the frivolity - the fun and freedom of enjoying an entire weekend getaway with their closest friends and family. Their aim was to create a mini escape for everyone, defined by delectable local food, lazy sunning at the pool, jaw dropping views, tasty drinks and late night dancing. They wanted their guests to remember how fun it was to be together during a whole weekend and to truly experience Cabo in all its glory at their own pace.

And that they did. Both their ceremony and wedding party were minimal, relaxed and focused on gathering rather than stuffy formalities. With first class food being a top priority for this couple, the reception featured a family style menu that had a variety of delicious dishes such as ceviche, guacamole, local catch of the day and churros for dessert.

A Sunset Farewell

As a thank you to their guests for joining them for their Cabo destination wedding, the couple hosted a lovely sunset cruise the day after the wedding. During this farewell party, the couple sailed around the bay during sunset, to appreciate the bay, watch the sunset from the water and have a proper post wedding sendoff.
